Equanimous
A special poem based on the word "Equanimous".
“Equanimous even tempered; not easily elated or depressed. Impartial (The Shorter Oxford English Dictionary on Historical Principles)”.
Ink bleeds off of the page.
Words ooze before they engage.
Crisis doesn’t stay locked in a cage.
Emotions twist a specialized feeler gage.
Equanimous breathing calms the rage.
Steadiness is in full control of every digital gauge.
Cool like a pond in an ice age.
Tranquility in trials is worth more than an hourly wage.
Listen to advice that is sage.
Standing in a canoe while the waves rampage,
Sounds insane, but how you confront calamity is to assauge.
Close the curtain, it’s time to exit the stage.
